A little bit about me…

Introducing the female-Arab Muslim meets My Big Fat Greek Wedding… Starring my mother: An amalgamation of Marie Barone (from Everybody Loves Raymond) & the Nanny’s mother but with a headscarf & (far more) anxiety… and naturally the best of intentions

Let my debacles, trials, thoughts, philosophies & madness provide you with comic relief

My Stats: mid to late twenties (so I won’t have to update this for awhile), worker professional gal with an almost innate need to shop, a passion of both shoes and handbags, cannot NOT purchase that product with the “new’ sticker emblazoned on it; I have a penchant for fashion. Driven by the undisputable clash and yet somehow harmonious combinations in cultures… allowing my mum to live in her ‘lil fairytale-land (hey, she’s happy there I tell you!). I have an undisputable thirst for knowledge; both a professional & religious point of view. I love to talk religion – any religion…. I love to see the comparisons, the beauty in it all.

I’m not married – GASP!!! My mother’s greatest sadness is a lack of wedding to prepare and no grandchildren to speak of… My family fix me up with the strangest of men

I DON’T look like that chick from My Big Fat Greek Wedding…

I do a GREAT Arabic accent (I’m around them often enough)

I am reflective… I have (strange/odd) notions & theories about life & “situations”, I think I’m patient

I love my family to bits…. Their insanity is curiously endearing (and gives me much fodder to blog about)… I am grateful for my friends.

I yearn for normalcy… yet haven’t quite figured out what that is yet

I am a contradiction of sorts…

I have stories to tell people… I have things to say…

I want to hear what you have to say

I am me… I am happiness
