What a weekend!
How was yours people?
Everything went off without a hitch and I am happy to very quickly make you drool at all the cupcakes Susi and I made!
Let me tell you all that there was HEAPS of food! We had cupcakes, profiteroles that had both custard and coconut cream and cannoli’s (we had custard ones, coffee custard and chocolate custard filled ones). We also had dessert pizza – seriously this stuff was beyond divine! It had a thin pizza base then a chocolate mud cake base which was soft and fluffy with either fruit on top or drizzled white chocolate and oozing chocolate through it… I have no idea how it’s done but its bloody awesome!
More pics to come but these were the ones I had on my phone!
Everything looked lovely… I will add more soon-ish…
Sorry Razia – I know I haven’t popped on a pic of the shoes but I promise they are coming!! In the meantime I really hope these keep you sated!!!

Your weekend has a very yummilicious spread!
I love the cute pink cupcakes!
Specs: it was seriously so yummy – every time I see the pics of the cupcakes I feel all warm and happy inside… I am even using it at the moment for a gravatar! I WISH I had of taken pics of all the cannoli’s!
ok, so was there a reason for this deliciously sugary overload, or were you two just feeling domestic??
Helen: yes honey – the rationale was the engagement party – sheesh, I could’ve sworn I mentioned that! Hehe
The cupcakes look so yummy.. Would you mind sharing the recipe although im more particularly interested in the glaced icing recipe..
i didnt see this post until now.. weird.. How was the function? Tell us all about it? Did Mr A reput the ring on for you? And your mom, does she know you had an engagement function? (if so, what was the reaction like?) Hope you’re well.. Been scarce cos was on holiday at my sisters place..
The cupcakes look amazing! I wonder if there’s a way I can bribe you to make a few and ship them to the states! NYC is known for its cupcake shops, but these look great, and I’m sure they taste great too!
Razia: I can give you the icing recipe right off the top of my head – icing sugar + butter… add a little water to get to the consistency you need (I like it pretty thick myself so that its easier to spread and means I can get heaps on each individual cupcake without having to ‘spread off’ the cupcake! Meanwhile add a little lemon juice or passionfruit juice to the yellow icing or some lime to the green icing to make for a delicious twist on butter cream frosting!
No, he didn’t ‘reput’ the ring on my finger (but that sounds like a wonderful idea)! His mum gave me this gorgeous diamond ring (that needs to be resized) that used to belong to her mother! My mother was not happy about the engagement party – she still thinks I need to end it with him and be with an Arab man *sigh*… at this point it is an uphill battle and I am trying to maintain a positive relationship with her through all of this! Although she has asked some ‘interesting’ questions…
Chickpea: They tasted really yummy! No need to bribe – when you come to Aussie-land consider them made!
