This is Me… Hello, Salam & Welcome to All
Well; here I am… at the beginning – not really the beginning, but sort of the beginning… can you already tell that I’m a little bit “different”? Where on earth do I start here? The voice in my head is saying “the beginning you curly-haired idiot!” but in reality how on earth can I start there when I want to tell you about things as they happen rather then spend the next however many posts telling you about ‘the beginning’.
Rather than get into the physicality’s of it all here’s the (summarized) deal;
Female, Muslim, “Arab Australian” (Arab descent, but Australian born), brown eyes (boring – *yawn*), brown hair, medium height (ok fine I will begrudgingly be honest… I’m a little below average, but I can dream… think Kylie/Shakira/Salma Hayek height), long curly hair (difficult to manage but all in all I do love it), tan olive skin (I never got that – as really who actually is the color of an olive?), 26 years old AND… (wait for it) NOT yet married (or engaged; btw that sound you are now hearing in the background is the wailing of my mother)! I work full-time (aahh, the mundane-ness of a 9 – 5 employment that strangely seems to start before 9 and end past 5. funny that) and went to university so I could get all those letters at the end of my name that parents and perspective in-laws seem to focus more on that a recruitment agents…
What else do you want to know? Hmm… I don’t want to overload you with information so I’ll leave it at that for the moment and see what I get back from y’all then go from there? Sound like a plan??
Hopefully I hear something from someone soon…
Please be nice!

Aren’t parental expectations universal? My parents just market it in a more subtle manner -but the intent is still the same!!! Oooohhh and the inuendo of comparison against the ‘younger’ more ‘competent’ sibling who decides to meet all of the ‘traditional’ milestones of adult life e.g. the car, very stable career, share portfolio blah blah blah blah blah
hey sweetie – me thinks you popped this into the wrong entry – but its all good!
